Amble Ridge Care is the company that operates our healthcare centre and life right apartments. Already an impressive operation, when construction of our Hydrangea Suites is completed in the first half of 2023, Amble Ridge Care will boast a total of 50 modern, luxury apartments, which it sells as Independent Living or Assisted Living life rights, as well as several health suites which it uses to provide short-term care. This is a ratio of better than one apartment to every two free-standing houses, so as a resident in the village, you can be assured that the day you decide you want a bit more help, we will have a spot for you.

In-Home Care
Our registered nurses live in the village, so they are available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week to respond to medical emergencies. If you are not quite ready to move into one of Amble Ridge Care's apartments, we can arrange part-time or full-time caring services in the comfort of your free-standing home.
Life-Right Apartments
Our life rights options are ideal for the over-70 who seeks a less onerous lifestyle.
Independent living individuals or couples receive meals in our charming dining room, and are able to relax in the comfortable lounges. Laundry and cleaning services are included.
Individuals or couples requiring Assisted Living enjoy all the same benefits, with the addition of comprehensive 24-hour care provided by our registered nurses and their teams of carers.
Health Care Suites
Amble Ridge Care has several Health Care Suites which it uses to provide short-term care. Priority is given to Amble Ridge residents, but members of the greater Knysna community who need a little extra care after hospitalisation are also very welcome. The Health Care Suites are also available to families needing respite care of the elderly, whilst they take a much-needed break, and to those who may need palliative care.
Onsite Practices
We are very fortunate to have both Meyer and Snyman Physiotherapy Inc. and JJ Greyling Biokineticists Inc. practices on site. In addition to making use of their regular services, our residents benefit from group therapy and exercise activities led by these professionals in our heated pool and function room.
